Champagne Salmon
Champagne, Vallée de l’Ardre, France
Alexandre Salmon
  • WHO
Champagne Salmon is a family-run grower estate led today by Alexandre Salmon, representing the 3rd generation of the Salmon family.
Founded in 1958, the domaine has remained firmly rooted in hands-on viticulture and independent winemaking.
Alexandre continues the family legacy with a modern, precise approach, placing Meunier at the core of the estate’s identity.
  • WHERE
The estate is based in Chaumuzy, in the Vallée de l'Ardre, a lesser-known but distinctive sub-region of Champagne.
The vineyards cover 10.5 hectares in total, 9 hectares of which are planted to Meunier.
The clay-limestone soils of the area favour freshness, tension and a clear, terroir-driven expression, particularly well suited to Meunier.
  • PHILOSOPHY
Champagne Salmon focuses on terroir-driven wines with a strong emphasis on Meunier expression.
The philosophy is built around precision, balance and respect for the vineyard, aiming to reveal the character of each site rather than overpower it.
Alexandre’s goal is to elevate Meunier through careful viticulture and restrained winemaking, producing champagnes with identity, depth and quiet confidence.
